We offer supervision for doctoral study through research and design practice. The research themes are established in relation to the lab’s research and practice roadmap, including research to establish evidence for practice, research to uncover the unique aspects of community spatial practice, and research with creative approaches of inquiry (including creative mapping, creative survey, and various analytical approaches). We also offer practice-based research, where practice and making becomes an integral part of the research process, and the academic argument is built upon scholarly reflection toward the practice and the making processes. Completed practice-based research include inquiry through traditional making to explore architectural materiality, generative process of actual-virtual spaces, and exploraton of representation through drawing practices.
