Sekolah Indonesia Cepat Tanggap (SICT) proposes a quick modular school design as a strategic response to recover the condition of the community affected by the earthquake. This initiative of post-disaster recovery also became an opportunity to build back better by upgrading the quality of learning space for the children. This research-based design project intends to develop a modular prototype of schools that could be replicated easily, quickly and cheaply to respond to the various post-disaster situations.

SICT has been awarded the FuturArc Green Leadership Award in 2019.

Bangun Musholla is an initiative to rebuild the community prayer facilities that have collapsed after an earthquake disaster. The reconstruction of the prayer facilities not only provides spaces to pray for the affected communities, but it also becomes a medium for the communiyty togetherness, to strengthen their religious belief to cope and to survive after disaster.

Bangun Musholla initiative has completed six mushollas in Longkewang, Loji, Sarongge, Goledag, Cirumput, and Ciherang Village, Cianjur, West Java.

Village Community Centre was built in Ciherang Village after the Cianjur earthquake disaster. It provides multi-functional spaces for various community activities, from community gatherings, community healthcare checkups (Posyandu), women’s activities (PKK), learning sessions, library activities, and religious activities. Built through a simple structure and a modular construction system, the architecture of the village community centre reflects a strategic design approach to the rebuilding process that enhances functionality, speed of construction, and local participation.
