Nirmana is a Political Science Student at FISIP UI and a Research Assistant for the Digital Authoritarianism (DiAL): Mapping and Strengthening Civil Society Responses in Asia (2025-2027), a project by GIGA, Hamburg. Her involvement in this project include assisting quantitative research with expert interview from related CSO and qualitative case-coding on lawfare.

Her areas of interest in research ranged from quantitative method in politics, comparative studies, election issue, and welfare program. In addition, Nirmana is also active in policy analysis through her activity as Social and Policy Research Intern at Harian Kompas and Vice Head of Strategic Studies and Action (Kastrat) of BEM FISIP UI. Through Kastrat, Nirmana actively engage with student activism and advocacy through articles, policy briefs, and connecting with civil society organization (CSO).
