CMMC’s research roadmap links two complementary lines: recovering and processing mineral resources with lower carbon and less waste, and designing resource-lean advanced alloys through integrated computational materials engineering. Shared work on critical minerals and rare earths connects the two, from extraction chemistry to the materials that use these elements.
