Euis Sulastri, S. Hum., M.A., Ph.D.

Euis Sulastri is a lecturer in the Korean Language and Culture Program and the Area Studies Program at the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia. She received her undergraduate degree in Russian Studies from Universitas Indonesia in 2007. In 2008, she was awarded a scholarship from the Korean government to pursue graduate studies in South Korea. Prior to beginning her master’s program, she completed one year of intensive Korean language training at Paichai University in Daejeon, South Korea.

In 2009, she began her master’s studies in Korean Studies at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea. After completing her graduate studies, she gained professional experience working at a Korean company based in Seoul. In 2012, she joined the Korean Language and Culture Program at the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia, as a lecturer. In 2017, she returned to South Korea to pursue her doctoral degree at Yonsei University. She completed her Ph.D. in 2025.

Her teaching and research focus on Korean popular culture, gender, and society. Her work particularly examines cultural texts such as film and media to understand contemporary social and cultural dynamics, identity formation, and representations of gender and family in Korean society.
