Community Service

Community Service

The Medical Physics and Biophysics Group actively contributes to community engagement activities organized by the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI). These activities include physics education and training for schoolteachers, as well as community services and professional training in medical physics and biophysics.

Community Services and Training through CMPB-UI

The Center for Medical Physics and Biophysics, Universitas Indonesia (CMPB-UI) is a center under the Institute for Applied Sciences (Lembaga Sains Terapan, LST) that provides services and training in medical physics and biophysics.

Historically, CMPB-UI evolved from the community service activities of the Medical Physics and Biophysics Laboratory (LFMB), Department of Physics, FMIPA UI, which began in March 2014. Following the restructuring of Universitas Indonesia’s community service units, the services previously provided by LFMB were transferred to the Special Work Unit for Research and Community Service (PPM) under the Institute for Applied Sciences, FMIPA UI.

CMPB-UI provides services through two main divisions:

  • Conformity Testing and Technical Services: Providing services related to conformity testing and other technical services within its area of expertise.

  • Education and Training: Delivering educational and training activities related to medical physics and biophysics.

CMPB-UI also has a quality assurance function to ensure that its services and training activities are managed in accordance with appropriate quality standards.

CMPB-UI welcomes opportunities to collaborate with communities, institutions, and other partners seeking reliable services and training in medical physics and biophysics, with an emphasis on quality assurance and professional independence. For more information please visit CMPB website.
