Head of Research Group | FIMBIOS (Medical Physics and Biophysics)
Dr. sc. hum. Deni Hardiansyah is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia. He obtained his doctoral degree from Heidelberg University, Germany, where his research focused on the application of physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling to improve individualized dosimetry in molecular radiotherapy.
His research focuses on nuclear medicine dosimetry, molecular radiotherapy, molecular and functional imaging, and pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling. He investigates computational approaches to personalized radionuclide therapy, particularly the estimation of time-integrated activity and individualized radiation doses using quantitative imaging and mathematical modeling.
His recent research includes nonlinear mixed-effects modeling for single-time-point dosimetry in lutetium-177-based therapies, methodological evaluation of time-integrated activity estimation, and the application of artificial intelligence to nuclear medicine. He is also involved in research on digital twins for molecular radiotherapy, with an emphasis on developing and validating computational frameworks for dosimetry and treatment optimization.
Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Hardiansyah worked as a postdoctoral researcher and staff member at the College of Pharmacy, University of Kentucky, USA, conducting research in pharmaceutical sciences. His interdisciplinary expertise bridges medical physics, nuclear medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, and computational modeling, with the broader goal of advancing personalized radionuclide therapy and precision medicine.
