Tamara Adriani Salim, joining as lecturer and researcher on 1992, in Department of Library and Information Science at the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia, her main interest is on methods of preserving knowledge of conserving old daluang paper, European paper, lontar manuscripts physically, digitally, indigenously as heritage document saved in libraries, archives, museums, and particularly in community practice, in Cirebon region, Sumedang region, Pangeranan Banyumas which has given impact concerning the wellbeing of the community. She has intact research in identifying manuscripts deteriorated by microbiological agent, conducted with Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Mathematics, Life Science, Universitas Indonesia. In line with the technological driven, she is also asked escorting research with UITM MARA, concerning the impact of social media capabilities in the library service. An overture in archive research leads her as member of one of the archive research group INTERPARESS situated in Canada conducted by Luciana Duranti, beginning of 2022-2026. Her first degree was in Frech literature, conducted in Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia. She struggled to convince that the impact of musicality was preserved in the verses of Paul Verlaine’s mind, entitled Chanson d’Autonme (Song of Autumn) and Serenade (Serenade). Her master degree was conducted in the United Kingdom, Loughborough University of Technology, England, Department of Library and Information Studies, advocating a theses on the Preservation and Conservation of Javanese Manuscripts in the South East Asia and India Office, British Library. Her dissertation was conducted in Archaeology Department, Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia, advocating to preserve the meaning of The Hogere Burgerschool Koning Willem III, The National Library Building of the Republic of Indonesia as a cultural heritage building. Currently, she is actively contributing to multidisciplinary research and teaching within her department.
