Chairman Remarks

In an era defined by disruption, complexity, and accelerating institutional change, public service systems are confronted with structural and cultural challenges that can no longer be addressed through fragmented approaches. Governance today operates simultaneously across vertical and horizontal dimensions — demanding not only coordination, but genuine collaboration across institutions, sectors, and levels of government

Responding to this paradigm shift, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Universitas Indonesia has established nine strategic research clusters, including the Collaborative Governance, Digital Transformation, and Public Service (CG-DTPS) Research Lab. The Lab advances rigorous scholarship and policy engagement at the intersection of collaborative governance, digital state transformation, and public sector reform.

Our work is anchored in a core conviction: sustainable public value creation requires institutional trust, adaptive governance frameworks, and evidence-based innovation. Through interdisciplinary research, policy advisory engagement, and international partnerships, the CG-DTPS Lab seeks to strengthen governance capacity and enhance public service delivery in an increasingly complex global environment.

As Chair of the CG-DTPS Research Lab, I welcome strategic collaboration with policymakers, academic institutions, multilateral organizations, and industry partners committed to advancing accountable, resilient, and future-ready governance systems.

The transformation of public institutions is not optional — it is imperative.
