About Us

Description

This research group focuses on immunization among children and adolescents undergoing organ transplantation at RSCM, one of Indonesia’s national referral centers and a leading center for organ transplantation. The research examines immunization completeness, factors influencing immunization status, and Hepatitis B antibody responses before and after transplantation. By addressing gaps in evidence and clinical guidance for immunization in immunocompromised children and adolescents, the group aims to support healthcare professionals in developing appropriate immunization strategies, inform hospital and public health policy, and promote greater awareness among families of children with complex medical needs.

Vision

To generate scientific evidence and develop data-driven approaches that strengthen immunization protection for children and adolescents with special medical conditions, particularly organ transplant recipients.

Mission

  1. To generate scientific evidence on immunization status and immune responses among children and adolescents before and after organ transplantation.
  2. To identify clinical, demographic, social, and healthcare-related factors that influence immunization completeness and effectiveness among vulnerable populations.
  3. To advance research on vaccine-induced immune responses, including changes in antibody levels and the factors influencing these responses before and after organ transplantation.
  4. To develop and evaluate immunization strategies tailored to patients’ clinical conditions, including completion of recommended vaccinations before transplantation and catch-up immunization programs.
  5. To translate research findings into clinical recommendations, care pathways, educational initiatives, and policy input to strengthen immunization protection among children and adolescents with complex medical needs.
