Dr. Joevarian Hudiyana is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Indonesia. His research focuses on two core areas: 1. How belief systems and scientific authority shape people’s comprehension and engagement with science, and 2. How existential motives and meaning-making shape actions directed toward goals, causes, and identities that transcend the self. Broadly, his research aim to understand the psychological processes that enable individuals and communities to navigate uncertainty, build meaningful lives, and contribute to the common good. Outside academia, he enjoys training at the gym, exploring new culinary experiences, and creating educational and science communication content for the public with his instagram account.
