The Nanomaterial Chemistry for Health, Energy and Environment research group, abbreviated as NaMCHEE, is an interdisciplinary research group within the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia.
NaMCHEE brings together researchers with complementary expertise in green nanotechnology, interfacial chemistry, polymer chemistry, environmental analysis, energy conversion, photocatalysis, and photoelectrochemistry. Through this interdisciplinary platform, we investigate the design, synthesis, characterization, and application of functional nanomaterials for addressing major challenges in health, energy, and environmental sustainability.
Our research covers metal and metal-oxide nanoparticles, bimetallic materials, nanocomposites, semiconductor heterojunctions, polymer-based nanomaterials, and surface-engineered functional systems. These materials are developed using conventional chemical methods as well as environmentally responsible green-synthesis approaches.
To become a nationally and internationally recognized research group in nanomaterial chemistry that generates impactful scientific discoveries, sustainable innovations, and transformative technologies for health, energy, and environmental applications.
To advance the design, synthesis, characterization, and application of functional nanomaterials that address critical challenges in health, clean energy, and environmental sustainability through interdisciplinary research, scientific innovation, and strategic collaboration.
Conduct rigorous and impactful research in nanomaterial chemistry, surface and interface engineering, catalysis, photocatalysis, and photoelectrochemistry.
Develop functional nanomaterials through efficient, scalable, and environmentally responsible synthesis approaches.
Transform fundamental research outcomes into functional materials, prototypes, intellectual property, and technologies with societal and industrial relevance.
Strengthen national and international collaboration while developing students and early-career researchers through interdisciplinary research, mentorship, and scientific training.
