EESA Summit 2026

On 9 June 2026, the Global South Solidarity Research Cluster, represented by Asra Virgianita, Ph.D., Rizka Bunga Shafira, M.Si., Rachmasari Nur Al Husin, M.Si., and Dewi Aulia Maharani, S.Sos., attended the EESA Summit 2026 at Pullman Jakarta.

The summit convened leading companies, investors, and policymakers driving Indonesia’s renewable energy and energy storage sector, with a strong presence of Chinese firms expanding into the national clean energy market. The team’s participation forms part of the cluster’s ongoing research on mapping Chinese renewable energy stakeholders in Indonesia, examining their investment motivations, technologies, partnerships, and broader engagement in the country’s energy transition.

Beyond the sessions, the visit opened valuable opportunities for direct dialogue with industry actors and government representatives, enriching the cluster’s field data and strengthening its network with key stakeholders in Indonesia’s energy landscape.
