CIGO Lab is led by a team of academics and policy experts with extensive experience in governance research, public policy, and institutional reform. Through strong academic leadership and strategic collaboration, the Lab maintains high standards of research excellence while expanding its engagement at the international level.

In an era defined by hyper-complexity, technological disruption, and shifting global dynamics, organizations are confronted with challenges that transcend traditional boundaries. Governance today is no longer confined to rigid institutional structures—it requires adaptive, collaborative, and innovation-driven approaches that can respond to uncertainty and rapid change.

Recognizing this evolving landscape, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Universitas Indonesia established the Center for Innovative and Governance (CIGO) as a strategic research platform. CIGO advances interdisciplinary scholarship and practical engagement at the intersection of governance innovation, organizational transformation, and sustainable development.

Our work is grounded in a fundamental belief: that effective governance must be evidence-based, agile, and impact-oriented. Through rigorous research, policy engagement, and cross-sector collaboration, CIGO seeks to develop governance models that are not only theoretically robust but also practically applicable in addressing real-world challenges.
