Cultural Heritage Information Systems & Artificial Intelligence — an interdisciplinary research cluster integrating AI, big data, and the expertise of information science, data science, and cultural studies to build inclusive systems for cultural documentation, management, and dissemination.
Cultural Heritage Information System – AI (Kelompok Riset Sistem Informasi Warisan Budaya Berbasis Akal Imitasi dan Mahadata) is an interdisciplinary team dedicated to preserving and advancing Indonesia’s cultural heritage through digital innovation.
By integrating artificial intelligence, big data, and expertise from information science, data science, and cultural studies, we develop intelligent and inclusive systems for cultural documentation, management, and dissemination — supporting good governance through the strengthening of Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM) as open knowledge ecosystems.
Through a collaborative pentahelix approach, we are committed to delivering sustainable and impactful solutions for the future of cultural heritage.
The horizon we are working towards, and the commitments that guide us there.
We envision a future where Indonesia’s cultural heritage — its manuscripts, monuments, archives, and living traditions — is documented, shared, and stewarded through inclusive, intelligent, and community-grounded digital systems built with and for the communities that hold them.
A selection of journal articles, conference papers, and preprints from the cluster.
