Examining Language Variations within Societal Dynamics
The Language, Culture, and Community research group focuses on exploring language concerning variations influenced by society based on gender, age, ethnicity, space, and time. By delving into elements such as linguistic landscapes and spatial mapping, our studies aim to provide an insight into the role of language in explaining cultural phenomena.


The studies conducted include language contact, language diversity, language attitudes, language revitalization, language and cultural preservation, language mapping, and language acquisition.

The outcomes will produce recommendations on various documentation and policies that describe intergenerational language transmission, relationships between social groups, and cultural documentation (including toponymy and linguistic landscapes) that are beneficial for community life.
