The Sports Medicine and Physical Activity Research Group is dedicated to advancing the science and practice of Sports Medicine through rigorous research on physical-activity-based health, population fitness and health profiling, determinants and outcomes of physical activity, and the prescription of exercise and sport as integral components of promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative healthcare.
Our work adopts an interdisciplinary and evidence-based approach, integrating clinical medicine, physiology, biomechanics, and public health to generate impactful knowledge and practical solutions.
The group aims to contribute to national research efforts that promote active lifestyles, improve public health outcomes, and support the enhancement of Indonesia’s sporting performance at the international level as a source of national pride.
The Research Group is supported by facilities within the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, particularly the Center for Sports and Exercise Studies Laboratory, IMERI FKUI, equipped with advanced instrumentation and accredited under ISO 17025:2015, enabling high-quality research with real scientific and societal impact.
