Hasbi is a graduate of Bachelor of Islamic Economics from IAIN Bone (2017–2021) and Master of Islamic Economics from UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta (2022–2023). This educational background has formed his scholarly foundation in Islamic economics while directing his academic interests toward issues of sustainable development. Since pursuing his master's studies, he has developed a strong interest in environmental economics as a field that bridges economic growth and ecological sustainability.

His research focus lies in examining the relationship between economic activities and environmental quality. He is interested in analyzing how economic growth, financial sector development, investment, and energy consumption affect carbon emissions and environmental degradation, both at national and international levels. Furthermore, he seeks to integrate Islamic economic and financial perspectives in promoting a transition toward a greener, more inclusive, and equitable economy.

In research development, he is accustomed to managing and processing cross-country and regional macroeconomic data to produce systematic, evidence-based analyses. He is also committed to constructing scientific arguments that are not only academically relevant but also carry applicable policy implications.

In the future, he aims to continuously develop research on environmental economics from an Islamic economic perspective as a tangible contribution to addressing the challenges of climate change, supporting low-carbon development, and maintaining the balance between economic growth, social justice, and environmental sustainability..
