Research Interests : In the field of environmental microbiology, dealing with bioremediation, mostly on hydrocarbon degradation utilizing indigenous bacterial strains from Indonesia.
My name is Sitaresmi and I trained as a microbiologist at Universitas Indonesia, University of Wisconsin-Madison USA and also at Kyoto University Japan as a UNESCO fellow. In addition, I am also an alumnus of the University Staff Development (UNISTAFF) at Universität Kassel, Witzenhausen Germany.
My current research interests are in the field of environmental microbiology, dealing with bioremediation, mostly on hydrocarbon degradation utilizing indigenous bacterial strains from Indonesia. With my colleagues, I continue to carry on bioprospecting work to discover more potential strains for bioremediation purposes.
