About PFBSN

Philosophy, Fundamentals, and Basic Science in Nursing (PFBSN) The PFBSN Research Cluster is a dedicated center for academic exploration and innovation within the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia. We focus on the core pillars of nursing—integrating philosophical values, basic biomedical sciences, and fundamental nursing theories. Our goal is to provide a scientific foundation that supports clinical excellence and enhances the quality of basic nursing care for the community.

Our Mission

  1. Strengthening Scientific Foundations: Conducting in-depth studies on nursing philosophy, ethics, and theories to support a morally and scientifically sound professional practice.
  2. Integrating Basic Sciences in Care: Incorporating biomedical principles—such as biology, physiology, and pharmacology—to deepen clinical analysis in nursing interventions.
  3. Optimizing Basic Human Needs: Developing innovative approaches to meet holistic human needs (bio-psycho-social-spiritual), with a particular emphasis on improving rest, sleep quality, and patient comfort.
  4. Advancing Energy Recovery Solutions: Validating effective energy replenishment methods and supportive technologies to facilitate optimal patient recovery.
  5. Transforming Education through Innovation: Contributing to the advancement of nursing education by adapting modern teaching methods and curricula relevant to scientific progress.
