The Research Cluster on Policing, Security, Anti-Terrorism, Conflict, and Peace is an officially established academic research unit within the Graduate School of Sustainable Development, Universitas Indonesia. Founded in 2025, the Cluster responds to the evolving landscape of global security challenges shaped by digital transformation, geopolitical shifts, transnational threats, and complex social dynamics.

To serve as a leading center of excellence in policing, security studies, counter-terrorism, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding—grounded in scientific integrity, human-centered values, and global collaboration.

1. To produce high-quality, interdisciplinary research with global relevance and societal impact.
2. To support adaptive and accountable security sector reform aligned with international standards.
3. To develop innovative approaches to preventing violent extremism, including community-based and technology-enhanced strategies.
4. To provide evidence-based policy recommendations to governments, multilateral institutions, and civil society organizations.
5. To foster partnerships between academia, security institutions, and international stakeholders.

Klaster ini mengembangkan riset pada level makro, meso, dan mikro, meliputi:

Our work combines terrorism psychology, police reform, regional security, security law, terrorist network analysis, and anthropology of religion within an integrated research ecosystem.

Every research initiative is designed to produce measurable impact — from AI-based deradicalization models to institutional reform and national resilience strengthening.

Over the next five years, the Cluster prioritizes research on:

• National Counterterrorism Agency
• Relevant ministries and government bodies
• International academic institutions
• Multilateral organizations and private sector partners

We welcome collaborative research initiatives, joint publications, policy dialogues, capacity-building programs, and international research consortia.
