Over the next five years, NanoFunMat will advance from fundamental materials design and nanoscale synthesis toward scalable fabrication and real-world implementation, focusing on energy conversion materials, environmental photocatalysts, biomedical coatings and transdermal systems, and structural anti-corrosion composites. The roadmap integrates structure–property–performance optimization, prototype development, interdisciplinary collaboration, high-impact publications, intellectual property generation, and industry partnerships, with the ultimate goal of translating laboratory discoveries into sustainable technologies with global impact.
