Yetty Komalasari Dewi is a Professor of Law of Economic Activities at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia (“UI Law”), where she was admitted in 2000. She has more than 20 years of extensive experience in dealing with legal issues in Law of Economics. She has cultivated over two decades of extensive experience in bridging the gap between academic theory, high-level government policy, and private sector consultancy within the field of Economic Law.
Yetty’s area of expertise encompasses corporate, commercial, trade and investment law, which she demonstrates in her role as Chairperson of the Legal Center for Corporate, International Trade and Investment, Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia. She has an extensive experience in policy analysis provided to government as Yetty formerly served as Assistant to Expert Staff on Legal Affairs to the Office of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, where she was often consulted on matters concerning MSME empowerment, investor-state dispute settlement and general corporate law for academic and lawmaking purposes. During the 2022 G20 Presidency, she provided strategic policy recommendations as part of the expert team for the Trade, Investment, and Industry Working Group, supporting both Working and Engagement Group preparations. Her professional profile includes serving as a subject matter expert in cross-border legal proceedings and a frequent speaker at government-hosted forums. In academia, she publishes research on Indonesian and international law and serves as an editor for prestigious international journals. Additionally, she maintains an active consultancy, providing specialized legal counsel to various industries
