Wenny Setiawati is a lecturer in Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia with more than 20 years experience in teaching the economic law issues: business organization, commercial paper, capital market, international trade, international investment arbitration. Her research interests were focusing in international investment and trade, and has provided wide ranging assistance for the Government of Indonesia such as in reviewing Indonesian bilateral investment treaties for Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and also helped in building sectoral model on OSS based on the Job Creation Law. She also helped Ministry of Industry on several WTO cases namely A4 paper, biodiesel, local content and 4G. She is also involved with USAID Indonesia Trade Assistance Program with the objective to enhance the capacity of the Ministry of Trade. Through her experience, she published several writings and one of the most profound one is a chapter among writings from world investment experts compiled in the Handbook of International Investment Law and Policy.
Beside the aforementioned activities, she is also actively acted as a consultant in a number of cases related to corporate law and commercial paper for either legal enforcer or corporation. In this area of expertise, she is also actively give training for various government ministries and institutions; also companies.
