Prof. Dr. dr. Mardiastuti Wahid, M.Sc, Sp.M.K(K) has been a teaching staff member at the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia (FMUI) since 1987, after completing her education as a general practitioner at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. She then continued her Master’s Program at Western Illinois University, USA, graduating in 1989 and obtaining an M.Sc degree in 1991. In addition, she earned a Specialist in Clinical Microbiology (2001) and a Subspecialist in Clinical Mycology (2009) from the Collegium of the Indonesian Association of Clinical Microbiology Specialists (PAMKI). In 2013, she completed her Doctorate at Gajah Mada University in the field of Medical Education. She achieved the title of Professor in 2023 in the field of Medical Education. Currently, she serves as the Head of the Clinical Microbiology Specialist Study Program at FMUI. Her research primarily focuses on Mycology, Bacteriology, and Medical Education. Several studies in these fields have been published in reputable international journals.
