The “Child Health and Well-Being” Research Cluster is an interdisciplinary research group focused on understanding, monitoring, and improving children’s health and well-being holistically. This includes physical, mental, emotional, social, environmental, and spiritual dimensions.
To generate scientific evidence and develop interventions that support optimal child growth and development through promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative approaches within the family context.
To generate evidence-based scientific knowledge on the various determinants of child health and well-being across diverse contexts, including families, schools, healthcare settings, and communities.
To develop effective and innovative interventions that support children’s optimal physical, mental, social, and emotional development.
To promote interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and communities in implementing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative efforts for children.
To contribute to the development of public policies and evidence-based practices that prioritize the best interests of the child.
To strengthen research capacity and scientific publication in the field of child health and well-being at both national and global levels.
To become a center of excellence in child health research, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
