Through an integrative approach, we bridge the blueprint of the genome with the complexity of phenotype, uncovering the mechanisms that connect molecules to cellular function and organismal outcomes.
Our work integrates molecular biology, cytogenetics, genomics, and advanced imaging to examine how biological macromolecules—particularly chromosomes and organelles—control cellular behavior. Special emphasis is placed on plant development and stress responses, animal and human cell physiology, cancer biology, immune regulation, programmed cell death (apoptosis), autophagy, and mitochondrial function.
