The Climate Change, Planetary Health, and Sustainable Care Research Cluster focuses on advancing interdisciplinary research at the intersection of environmental change and health, with a core emphasis on nursing science and healthcare practices.
This cluster explores how climate change and environmental degradation impact human health across the life span—particularly in vulnerable populations—and seeks to strengthen health system resilience through sustainable, equitable, and climate-smart care models. This cluster serves as a platform for collaborative innovation, capacity-building, and transformative leadership in addressing global climate-health challenges through a nursing and health sciences perspective.

Project (2025 – 2027)
A continuation of the KONEKSI-funded research, this study focused on developing and compiling adaptive, culturally sensitive health promotion education materials. Using a quasi-experimental design, the research was conducted in three provinces representing both rural and urban settings.

Project (2025 – 2027)
Focusing on climate change–related disasters, this project aims to strengthen community-based disaster risk reduction by developing and delivering training modules for women in disaster-affected areas. The study is funded by the Toyota Foundation International Grant Program and conducted in partnership with University of Hyogo.

Publication (December 2025)
Climate change education equipped nursing students with essential knowledge and skills to address climate-related health challenges, prompted critical thinking, and encouraged collaborative learning. These improve student perceptions and deepened understanding of climate-related health impacts.
