About Us

Established under the Decree of the Dean of Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Indonesia No. 50/SK/F2.D/UI/2025, this research cluster is a strategic initiative of Universitas Indonesia to advance world-class research excellence in dentistry, oral health, and systemic disease science.

The Cluster Research of Advanced OMICS Technology, Biotechnology in Oral Disease Treatment, and Non-Communicable Diseases is dedicated to leveraging integrative multi-OMICS platforms and cutting-edge biotechnological approaches to transform the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of oral diseases and their systemic implications, particularly non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Our work bridges molecular discovery, computational analytics, and clinical translation to deliver globally impactful and clinically relevant outcomes.

Research Pillars

Multi-OMICS & Biomarker Innovation
Identification and validation of molecular signatures for early diagnosis, risk stratification, and disease monitoring in oral and systemic conditions.

Host–Microbiome & Systems Health
Investigation of oral microbiome–host interactions and their roles in inflammation, disease progression, and systemic health.

Precision & Regenerative Medicine
Integration of multi-OMICS data for personalized diagnostics and targeted therapies, including stem-cell-derived metabolites (secretome and exosome) for tissue engineering and regeneration.

Therapeutic Biotechnology
Application of advanced biotechnologies—gene editing, recombinant biomolecules, and RNA-based therapies—for disease modulation and tissue repair.

Systems Biology, AI & Bioinformatics
Utilization of computational biology and AI-driven analytics to integrate complex datasets, map disease networks, and identify novel therapeutic targets.

Translational & Clinical Impact
Acceleration of laboratory discoveries into clinical validation and trials to ensure real-world impact on oral and systemic health outcomes.
