About AGEs

The Active Aging and Lifelong Wellness Research Cluster is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and innovation to support healthy aging and enhance quality of life across the lifespan, particularly in later life.

We examine the biological, psychological, social, environmental, and policy determinants of aging through a multidisciplinary and evidence-based approach. Our work focuses on developing sustainable solutions that promote well-being, independence, and active participation of older adults within families, communities, and health systems.

Our research areas include nutrition and metabolism, physical activity and rehabilitation, mental health and neurocognition, gerontological nursing and long-term care, health-supportive technologies, and socio-economic policies addressing population aging.

Through national and international collaborations, we aim to generate high-impact research, practice innovations, and policy recommendations that contribute to building age-friendly and sustainable societies.

Vision

To foster a society of SMART older adults (Sehat, Mandiri, Aktif, dan Produktif – Healthy, Independent, Active, and Productive) through interdisciplinary research, evidence-based innovation, and sustainable community engagement.
